Blood from our animal colonies is collected fresh for each customer order and then checked for haemolysis before being dispatched on the day of collection. Because all blood products are collected upon request, they are available in any vial size with a minimum size of 10ml to ensure the quality of the product is maintained.

Our whole blood products are aseptically collected from healthy, adventitious virus-free Inotiv barrier-reared animals based on the FELASA recommendations 2014 (Mähler et al.) or genetically controlled colonies. Upon ordering, customers specify the type of anticoagulant required. Blood collected into Alsevers is adjusted to a standard packed cell volume to ensure product consistency. All blood products are routinely shipped in 25ml vials.
